For safety's sake you'll want someone to hold the ladder for you and if yours has them, be sure its safety clips are on. Cleaning windows on a ladder can be hazardous and employing the help of a friend or partner will ensure you stay safe.

Sprays are always more convenient to use while cleaning windows than are buckets of water. This is especially true if you're going to be cleaning windows that require you to be on a ladder. Moreover buckets of water and cleaning solution can spill easily whereas sprays do not.
